This privacy policy explains how Bayescase GmbH ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit www.bayescase.com. Bayescase GmbH is based in Germany and processes data in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Categories of Data and Sources

  • Server logs: IP address, date/time, requested URL, referrer URL, user-agent, HTTP status.
  • First party analytics: page views, navigation paths, and event data with a pseudonymous session identifier generated by us. We do not use third party tracking on the website.
  • Contact/demo requests: name, business email, company, message content and any other data you provide.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of data or children's data via the website.

3. Purposes and Legal Bases

  • Provide the website and ensure security (server logs): Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests).
  • Respond to contact/demo requests: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre contractual steps/contract).
  • First party analytics and service improvement: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests). We limit data, use pseudonymous identifiers, and do not build cross site profiles.

Note on cookies/device storage: We aim to avoid cookies or similar technologies on the website. If we store identifiers on your device (e.g., cookies/local storage), we will request consent under § 25(1) TTDSG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. As of the Effective date, we do not use such storage for analytics.

4. Recipients and Processing Locations

Processors

  • Hosting: Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (AWS), eu-central-1 (Frankfurt), EU/EEA hosting; DPA/SCCs in place.
  • Email delivery for contact requests (if routed via email): Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited), primarily EU data boundary; DPA/SCCs in place.

We do not share data with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use third party trackers on the website.

5. International Data Transfers

Where data is transferred to countries without an EU adequacy decision by our processors, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) and supplementary measures where appropriate. You can contact us for details.

6. Retention

  • Server logs: typically 14–30 days.
  • Contact/demo requests: retained until your request is handled and for up to 12 months for follow up; if a contract is formed, business correspondence may be retained up to 6 years under German law.
  • Analytics data: retained in pseudonymous form for up to 12 months, then deleted or aggregated.

7. Your Rights

You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object (Arts. 15–21 GDPR). You can contact privacy@bayescase.com. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority at your habitual residence or place of work, or at our seat.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular backups. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version is available at www.bayescase.com. We will inform you of material changes where appropriate.
